American Repertory Theatre Names 2024 Arts & Cultural Organization Management Cohort
Arts & Cultural Organization Management (ACOM) provides an executive education-style experience to arts leaders from communities that historically have not been centered in organizational leadership and development opportunities. The one-week program builds community and provides professional development with professors, community leaders, and artists to strengthen strategies and skills for creating more responsive and successful cultural institutions. The 2024 cohort is now announced.

On Trans Day of Visibility 2024 the “Trans, Non-binary, and Gender Diverse Opera and Classical Music Professionals Directory” goes live.
The directory hosted by Opera MODO launches with 25+ international professionals and counting. Developers of the directory are the first True Voice Award winner and Katherine Goforth, Danielle Wright, Bryce McClendon, and Dorian Block – all trans and non-binary opera and classical music professionals from various disciplines.
Sphinx LEAD at Juilliard
This summer, we welcomed to Juilliard the fifth cohort of Sphinx LEAD…From July 17–20, the 11 LEADers had the opportunity to meet members of the Juilliard staff to hone their understanding of arts administration and get a firsthand look at what it means to work at Juilliard. They had roundtable sessions with deans, vice presidents, and directors with deep-dive sessions into areas such as legal affairs, development, and public affairs. Participants also had a session with President Damian Woetzel in which he candidly discussed what it means to be president of Juilliard after having an illustrious career in the performing arts. Another highlight of the week was a networking mixer with participants, Juilliard staff and faculty members, and LEAD alumni.
OPERA America Announces Participants of the 2022‒2023 Mentorship Program for Opera Leaders of Color
OPERA America recognizes the leadership achievements and dedication of three accomplished BIPOC professionals in opera who have been selected as mentees in the 2022‒2023 Mentorship Program for Opera Leaders of Color. The Mentorship Program, now in its second year, advances racial equity in the field by pairing BIPOC administrators with established leaders in the field who can support them in achieving their career goals.
